On Tuesday, in his campaign for Allegheny County Council District 10, Carl Redwood announced an initial round of endorsements of elected officials, past candidates, and organizations supporting his Independent campaign to put people over profits in Allegheny County and fight for the poor and working class.
Carl Redwood is running on a platform of housing for all, clean air and water for all, a livable climate for all, and health and safety for all, and between these endorsements and an impressive showing of turning in 1,200 petitions for ballot access – his campaign is showing there is a lot of energy and support around the County for these ideas.
Redwood knows this future will not be built overnight, and he can’t do it alone. However, he believes Allegheny County needs to start trying now. We must make a future possible where the County will house the unhoused, put people’s health over corporations, support unionization in every way possible, and address humanitarian crises at the Allegheny County Jail. We need to make the impossible, possible. Today we’re announcing a list of endorsements I’m proud to have alongside us in our fight to make possible what we know to be moral and just.”
